About Elizabeth Expertise I can answer questions on the best kinds of accesories, how to wear trends, what to wear for your body type, makeup and hair questions, and overall fitness questions. i am not able answer questions on colors for skin tones for the most part, and can help with boys but excel at girls.
Experience I draw and design clothes, have sewn and bought clothes and worn them to a local 4-H fashion show, have helped my friends through many fashion crisises, read lots of fashion magazines and online articles and watch fashion shows on TV. I might become a fashion designer.

Question Aright, I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am starting High School in the fall, and I have three months to buy a new wardrobe. Money isn't really a question (I've been saving for months) but I don't want to spend a very large amount on one thing, as I'm still growing like a weed.
I'm looking for a more sophisticated style. I would like to know what sort of basics to buy that will last me through summer AND winter. I would also like to know what some good stores are in my area.
In case you're wondering, I am currently 14 years old, and 5'11". I am extremely athletic, so mucho muscles, all over. It's hard to find jeans that are long enough, or shorts that compliment my muscular thighs. I'm not a fan of skirts, of any length, and I love to accessorize. Shoes, bags, belts, jewelry, you name it.
I also have relatively long brunette hair (medium brown), if that helps. I have really light skin (think albino) and multicolored eyes (Green, blue, brown and red flecks. Exotic, I know.)
I don't know if you need to know much else...
Let me know! Thanks!
Answer I'm sorry I can't help you with stores in your area, as I live in the United States. I tried searching for some, but it didn't help much. Maybe you would know better what to search for? Anyways, some of my favorite stores are JCPenneys, Maurices, Vanity, the Buckle, and Burlington Coat Factory. Big boutiques and stuff are nice but usually a lot more expensive. One of the basics you should definitely look for are a pair of darkwash (darker in color) jeans that fit you perfectly. It might be a little hard for you because you are pretty tall, but you need to try on lots of pairs. Maybe even look in the women's section if necessary. Try to look for jeans that say "long" on the tag or label. Another kind of pant/jeans to maybe get would be skinny jeans. These usually look best in a dark color like black, and should hug your legs all the way to your ankles. If you try on a couple pairs (that fit you, you usually need a size bigger in those jeans) and they don't look good, just forget about them completely. A pair of black trousers are important for more dressy events, but aren't as necessary when you're a teenager.
Something for tops and dresses to try for sophistication; a shirtdress. These are dresses that are basically long shirts (usually they are button down) and are worn as dresses. Look for one that has a tie or belt (something to accent your waist), preferably removable so you can use your own belts too. You can wear them with bare legs, leggings, or skinny jeans.
Other important things to have in a wardrobe are leggings (as mentioned above. for those who don't know, leggings are like tights, cut off at calf. They come in most colors, but darker ones are more flattering. The ones with lace at the bottom are cool too), shorts, bermuda shorts, camis (camisoles) and/or undershirts, dressy top, and regular tops. Since your thighs are muscular, they won't jiggle and probably look really good in short shorts. If you DON'T like your thighs (or short shorts) then bermuda shorts look just fine.
Keep playing with accesories, they can really help make a look! Find clothes that you like and will wear that you are comfy with. Sorry for SUCH a long answer, I hope you didn't get bored! And very very very sorry if you had to wait a long time for this answer!!!!
