Question Hi Michelle,
I am a pretty popular girl at my school. I am in the 8th grade now, and this summer I want to change my look, and go back to school and be very popular!
First, is my hair. My hair is honey blonde, a little over shoulder-length, and fairly thick and wavy. I spend a lot of time straightening it, as it often gets out of control. I want to get a haircut and switch it up a little bit, but the haircut has to look good on my face (which I think they call oblong?). Please, no bobs, or short haircuts. I am thinking sort of a preppy, "messy" look. Definitely side bangs, and maybe some layers. Now, as for clothes, I usually dress casual/preppy, but I want to be super preppy and super cute! I have plenty of money to spend, so I don't know if I should just clear out my closet and start fresh or what?
So pretty much, I am looking for a new hairstyle, and new clothes. Any pictures, links, advice, ANYTHING!! is greatly appreciated.

Ah, girls wanting popularity is pretty big these days :)
Well, you should definetly consider your face shape first. THAT is the MOST important. Cuz what's the point if the look is preppy, but the haircut doesnt look good on you? So, I found this site that I like, you should definetly take the quiz to see if your face is oblong. Just to make sure. It gives you a complete analysis of your hair.
Since you have some money to spend, maybe you can do one of those things where you upload your pic on the site, and then pick styles virtually to see if the style would fit you. (This is also done on the hair styler, just play around with the site, you'll find it.)
But make sure you take the consultation quiz, I'm pretty sure that will help you a whole lot.
As for clothes, you just have to amp up the preppiness, im pretty sure you can do that :) Just don't try to push it, ok? Popularity is a good thing, but don't let that be the focus of your school life. I know sometimes it's hard for a person like you (blonde, preppy, and awesome) to not be popular, because being popular gives people more security and also makes them feel good. But also think of other stuff, like acedemics. If you are already great in your studies, go ahead and complete your school life with the preppiness :) If not, maybe you could try to focus more on that. Then it will be preppy, pretty, cute, and smart, lots of ppl will come to you for hw and classwork help :)
Make a fashion statement and have fun this summer, and have an even better school year in the fall!
