AboutZ. Amanda Chen Expertise I have always been interested in fashion and actually design/redesign some of my own clothes. Since I'm a teen, I can answer questions relating to teenage fashion, what kinds of clothes make you look older or younger than what you actually are, and where you can find bargains that resemble designer clothes. However, since I'm usually focused on the new, I don't know much about vintage clothing. Additionally, although I know a lot about skirts, shorts, and shoes, outerwear fashion is beyond me.
Experience I design or redesign some of my own clothes, and I am constantly trying out new looks. Additionally, I've also learned quite a few fashion tricks on how to stand out and how to blend in.

Question I am kind of on a low bidget right now and i need a new outfit but i dont know what i should get? im a petite junior (only 5ft tall) i look good in blue and purple, and have big thighs, but im no tfat, and not skinny, im just regular. So can you help me find something that is trendy, looks GREAT, and feels GREAT? THANKS
Answer Hello Amanda,
Normally if someone is on a low budget, I would recommend just buying a few staples that can be interchanged with your current clothes. So here are a few staples that are in fashion this fall (and possibly to summer). By the way, since I'm not given anything specific, I'll just assume your budget is anything below $25.
A cute jacket is a must for fall and the upcoming winter. Although I, myself, am a avid fan of the simple leather jacket (in red and tan suede) and the peacoat (in black and green), fur coats and trapeze jackets are in style this season. I really wouldn't recommend a teenager wear fur (even I only have the above-mentioned staples), so you should stick with the trapeze jacket. Target has a cute one here: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=/qid=/ref=br_1_4/601-4692561-1381757?ie=...
For a more relaxed look, try this cardigan from GAP
Now for the bottom, I seriously doubt most girls have big thighs like they tend to think they do. But, if you are really self-conscious, try a-line skirts or the wide-leg jean, which is in fashion this season. I think a white skirt would really go with anything so here's one from Macy's:
