Question how long does a girl have stomach aches before she starts her period? i hear about a year... thanks :)

What do you mean by "stomach aches"? Do you mean bloating, like when you feel like you are going to explode, or cramps? If you mean bloating, bloating usually occurs when your period is about to start, and during your period. You probably mean cramps. Cramps are different for every girl. Most girls do not have cramps before they begin their period, but others do. And for the others that do, it's about 6- 12 months until you get your period, sometimes sooner. Hope this helps.
