Question Hey. I am 16 years old (male) and worrying a little about my "boobs." I keep thinking that i have gynecomastia. My boobs arent really big, its just my nipples are puffy. I lift 4-5 times weekly. I was wondering if weightlifting would make my nipples worse? I also take whey protein...does that cause any thing like gynecomastia? I would just like some reassurance from somebody (other than a doctor)...hahaha. Also i was wondering what kind of lifts are the best for gaining muscles and increasing mass in my chest? heavy lifting like 3-6 reps. or 8-12 reps? also should i mix in 3-4 days of cardio also in my routines? Thanks for any help? Also i am a hypochondriac so i worry constantly about anything i see on the news about health or anything. THANKS! i am also very active and play football and baseball...which is my favorite sport. I weigh 197 lbs. and i am 6'1".
Answer Weightlifting will not make your nipples puffier, but weight lifting will cause you to weigh more. Protein can't cause gynecomastia at all. 8-12 reps are better, but do not overtire yourself. 3-4 days of cardio is better for your health and will certinely help you more. Hope this helps.
