Subject: Collar Bone Injury

Question
I broke my collar bone about 2 months ago. I can move my arm fine again, with very little or no pain. Before I broke it I was lifting weights regulary. What are some excercises I can do to help me gain strength with a recently healed collar bone?

Answer
Bryce,
Check with your doctor to make sure that it is okay to lift already with a fractured clavicle.  It should be, but make sure.  I would suggest general shoulder strengthening.  Bicep curls, Tricep extensions, Dumbbell press, Incline press, Rows, etc.  That is pretty good to start.  Make sure that you are cleared to resume.  Best of luck.
Ryan
