About Junko Expertise I can answer most questions pertaining to teen health, thought I cannot give medical advice. I can explain medical terminology, describe medical conditions and hopefully help people understand what is going on with their bodies. If I don`t know an answer to a question, being a medical student, I can easily find out the answer since I have many resources I can refer to.
Question Dear Sir/Ma'am
I have a habit of washing my hands and other body parts many times after i have a wet dream.I don't get satisfied washing once and keep on washing. Please tell me how i should wash my hands, clothes and other body parts where semen comes in contact?
How do other people do in this situation?
Sometimes i am unable to take bath in the morning ,so is it ok not to wash up and go on with normal work?
Why don't i get satisfied washing once my hands and other things? How can i get rid of this habit?
Please Help.
Thanks & Regards,

Answer Hi Smith,
I'm guessing that the reason you feel you have to wash yourself multiple times is because having semen on yourself makes you feel dirty. Until you become comfortable with the fact that having wet dreams and ejaculating is normal and not dirty, you'll probably continue to feel the need to wash multiple times. I'm sorry I don't have any more concrete suggestions to help you get rid of your habit.
There isn't really any special way to wash semen off of your body. Just wash yourself as you normally would and that should be sufficient. I think that's what most people do. As for whether or not you should take a bath in the morning, that's mostly up to you. If you're fairly clean, then it doesn't seem necessary to bathe. If you're worried about semen stains on your clothes, there are some detergents out there that will get rid of or reduce the stains. Also, adding plain water or seltzer water to a "fresh" semen stain might reduce staining.
