Question QUESTION: OK..I KNOW I SOUND LIKE EVERY OTHER TEENAGE GIRL OUT THERE WHEN I SAY I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY OUTSIDE APPEARANCE,BUT I JUST NEED HELP KNOWING THE BORDERS OF HEALTHY AND NOT! BECAUSE I SOMETIMES DO NOT GO HOME JUST BECAUSE I KNOW I WILL EAT THERE SO I STAY AT A FRIENDS HOUSE BUT THAT REALLY IS NOT SO BAD I HAVE LOST ABOUT TWENTY POUNDS BUT I'M STILL OVER WIEGHT FOR MY AGE AND BODY TYPE I JUST WANT TO LOOK AS GOOD AS ALL THE OTHER GIRLS OUT THERE I'M SIXTEEN YEARS OLD AND WIEGHT 170 POUNDS BUT I AM ALSO 5'10 AND I DO HAVE A SLIGHTLY MUSCULAR MAN BUILD...LOL BUT THAT IS OK I JUST WANT MORE I CAN DO TO SEE MORE RESULTS OTHER THAN MY DAILY WALK AND CUTTING DOWN ON EATING ...I JUST DO NOT FEEL LIKE I LOOK LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS!! ANSWER: I am going to have to say that you are not at an unhealthy weight, but it is still slightly high for your body type. It is perfectly normal for your to be a little over weight at this stage of your life, especially if your are still going through puberty. It sounds like you are doing everything right, but can you tell me where on your body you want to loose weight so i can suggest the kind of exercise that your should be doing?

Answer When you do your daily walks your are burning calories, but it is mainly an aerobic exercise. Which means it helps your heart. I suggest that in addition to this your should be doing crunches and other exercises that work you abdominal area. This will greatly help you loose weight around that area.
