About Junko
Expertise
I can answer most questions pertaining to teen health, thought I cannot give medical advice. I can explain medical terminology, describe medical conditions and hopefully help people understand what is going on with their bodies. If I don`t know an answer to a question, being a medical student, I can easily find out the answer since I have many resources I can refer to.

Experience
I am a 4th year medical student.

Subject: air embolism during sex

Question
Apparently, during my "exercise" there was a good amount of air that got inside. I know depending on the amount it can be lethal. Does any one know how to get rid of air embolism. It has been rising since I got it and I am getting worried.

Answer
Hi Chloe,

I doubt that what you have is an air embolism. Unless you've had an injury, surgery, or have been scuba diving, it's very unlikely that you have an air embolism.  Who told you that you that you had one?

If you really had one, you would need to go to the hospital for treatment.  But again, I don't think you got an air embolism from having sex.

I hope this helps.
