About Junko Expertise I can answer most questions pertaining to teen health, thought I cannot give medical advice. I can explain medical terminology, describe medical conditions and hopefully help people understand what is going on with their bodies. If I don`t know an answer to a question, being a medical student, I can easily find out the answer since I have many resources I can refer to.

Answer Hi Anna,
Right now your BMI is 19.7, which is in the normal range (18.5-24.9). If you were to lose 20 pounds, your BMI would be 16.7, which would make you quite underweight and unhealthy. I do not recommend that you try to lose too much weight (~5 pounds at most), if any, since you are already at the lower end of the normal BMI range. I do think, however, that it would be perfectly acceptable for you to strengthening and toning exercises to help firm up any areas that you don't like. Yoga and pilates are very good for overall toning and core strength (strength in the abdominal area). Squats are a good way to tone the butt. For the abdominal area, check out http://www.timbomb.net/ab/ab.faq.html#exercises for some recommended exercises. Getting regular aerobic exercise (such as running) and eating a healthy diet will also keep you in general good shape.
I hope this helps!
