About Martin M
Expertise
Health is in the body, it`s in the mind and it`s in the emotions. About the body you can ask anyone, the other two are not so easy to discuss. Genitals are tricky subjects as well. So, just when sex is new and relationships become complex, who can you talk to? Teens need to grow up healthily in ALL respects. Your sex-life has just started, don`t let it start all knotted up. If you worry about the first time, kissing, virginity, STD`s, love, genital size, masturbation, homosexuality, self-confidence, oral sex or any such matter, ask away. Get it off your chest, don`t worry, be happy.

Experience
I?m not a doctor, but I learned much about much. On this site I advised and helped hundreds of people who had problems and questions about their body, sexuality and relationships. I specialize in questions that are SILLY, PRIVATE, EMBARRASSING, DIRTY and STUPID. Somewhere in your teens, you run into puberty and sex gets to be an item. You learn the basics about puberty and sex at school and at home, but where do you get the details? The weird and naughty bits? Who do you ask those private and embarrassing questions? You don?t want to look dirty-minded asking a teacher, you don?t want to look silly and stupid asking a friend. If you don?t ask, you worry and blunder. That?s where I come in. Old enough to know, young enough (at heart) to understand you.

Question -
my name is tyson, i am 16 years old. im having erection problems, i can get my penis hard but i have trouble keeping it well up, if you get the picture , i also have trouble getting the foreskin to as far as it looks it should be, what is the problem im having as i know impotence is doubtful because i am still developijng
Answer -
Dear Tyson,

The foreskin I can't judge from here, I suggest you see your doctor about that. It is quite possible the opening is not wide enough to roll back over the head of the penis. It happens a lot, in varying degrees, and can be fixed easily. There's a few other things with Latin names, all equally fixable, but it'll have to be your doc to decide on which is which. Stop worrying, it happens and it can be dealt with. Just get it dealt with, see a medic.

The failing erection may have to do with the physical problem but anyway, I can't answer that one either on the info I got. (Bummer, I realize, sorry.) See your doctor first and ask him if he sees a connection. If not, ask me again and then tell me what you do to keep the erection up. Is the failure a ‘clinical observation' or does it happen during sex? Do you masturbate and how? How excited do you get? Do you use porn? Or do you fail when with a girl? First time? Does an erection or sex hurt? Etcetera and whatever. The more you write, the better answer I can give.
Till next mail.

Yours,
martin

Answer
Dear Tyson,

I'm not sure I have the whole picture now, I read that the problem is the angle of the penis? You mean it is hard but if you lie on your back, the penis lies on your belly instead of pointing up? If so, that's no problem. A penis can point in any direction, even down, between the legs. The important thing is that it is hard and does not flop and bend. The direction it points in, is different for everyone.
No real erections during puberty? I never heard that one before. It's untrue. In puberty very real erections are very possible. Yours sound really real to me.

That's the answer? If not, do ask again.

Yours,
martin
