About Junko Expertise I can answer most questions pertaining to teen health, thought I cannot give medical advice. I can explain medical terminology, describe medical conditions and hopefully help people understand what is going on with their bodies. If I don`t know an answer to a question, being a medical student, I can easily find out the answer since I have many resources I can refer to.
i had an akward growth. i had an early puberty, as early as the age of 9 and ever since then, i had a rapid growth.
however, i seemed not to gain anymore height and weight by the age of 15. i've been 5'8 tall and weigh 120lbs since i was 14 and i'm 19 now. it's odd that my brothers and father have the average height of 5'11-6'. this really saddens me as i dream of being tall...
will i ever gain more height?
Answer Hi Toomas,
I'm sorry to say that at 19, you probably won't grow much more. However, do you know what kind of growth patterns your brothers and father went through? If they experienced something similar to what you're going through and continued to grow after age 18 or 19, you may still grow taller.
I also noticed that you have a very low weight for your height. Are you getting proper nutrition? Eating properly is very important for maintaining your health and growth. I hope you're taking good care of yourself!
