I'm 17 and I'm going to be starting college in September. I'm a young one because I skipped a grade. I come across as shy I think, but once you know me you know I'm far from it.
I want to be the movie girl. I love shopping and do it all the time. I'm going to be doing some modeling at local malls, that's a start. I want to eat healthier and exercise but I can't motivate myself. How can I make people see the beautiful confident me that I know is there?

i know who you are trying to be as i used to strive to be that person 2. ive found out that she doesnt actually exist. the people that you and i have envied are normal happy people and we can become them if we stop trying to change.
think about it, there is usually one or 2 people who you classify as this movie girl, yea? i used to have 2 girls at my school, i looked at there lives and ive realised they're not to be envied.
the secret is to stop wanting to be her and to think you are!! this will give you a completely new outlook, think how this girl acts, what shed do in her spare time and instead of thinking you want to become her actually act like her. the most popular girls are actually the friendliest! learn to laugh at your self and chat to everyone( actually listen to them and help them wid probs) fill up your spare time with hobbies and going out so you think less.
you must realise not every guy goes for one type of girl so just be your self and theyll like you better than some one who acts up. if you feel shy then smile it will make everyone feel better and think your less shy.
as for the exercise and food i can tell you first hand , the more you do the more you want to do.join a gym they can motivate you. or do sports you enjoy(like football, tennis or vollyball). tell your parents that you want to eat heallthy or if you live along only buy healthy food and believe me once youve done a vigourous workout then you'll wanna eat fruit!! exercise is also a good way to feel great, it gets the endorofins pumping and you'll feel better, happier and more confident, also you'll look better and have better skin!
