Question
Hey...I have been trying to loose weight all summer now...but I have gained 5 pounds!  I'm 5'7, and currently weigh 140lbs.  Recently I joined a kick boxing class, and I eat healthy most of the time.  But, there are many times, weekends especially, where I splurge and eat everything in sight.  I am guessing that binging is the reason that I have gained weight this summer instead of loose.  But, I simply can't control my eating habits!  Every week I start off wonderful, eating really good and exercising, but by friday I am back to eating bad again!  I don't mean to binge, but I always seem to talk myself into it you know? How can I control my eating better on the weekends and loose the weight I want before school starts?

Answer
hi there jessica,
firstly you must realise that muscle weighs more than fat and so you might have lost inches! kick boxing is a great sport and will realy tone you up and make you look great, so keep it up.
140lbs is perfectly acceptable for someone your height. why do you want to lose weight? to look/feel better? i can help you further if you tell me.
i too splurge on binges but the trick is to eat healthy slowly and cut out the junk bit by bit, eg intruduce oats and a fruit in the morning for brekkie then have a normal lunch and dinner.
try distracting yourself when the binges usually take place like an evening yoga class or have a shower or bath at those times. if you usually binge alone invite mates over.if you binge infront of the tv then try streching infront instead. also dont let yourself starve, then hpefully you wont binge so much.
hope this helps and if you want any tips please ask!
