Question
I am doing a paper on how some music promotes Violence, Sexual Misconduct, Drug Use, Killings, and mistreatment of women. I am not asking for help on my paper but just asking how is all of this proven or how do we know it is all the right information? What i mean is how do I know if I have the right information and it isn't just someone writing something because they have to fill a space?

Answer
This is outside my expertise, but the only way is if you take a variety of music from all different genres and listen to the lyrics and study each song individually, also considering the amount of feedback too.

Its a complex thing, but it will always come down to ''Music is another artistic and creative way people express themselves''

So if the creator, artist wants promotes Violence then these are their own expressions in that case, although Im sure the artist doesn't want people to go out and kill, its just how the song was taking.

Its a complex thing, and too complex for me. Certain music might not promote them things, but they could definitely influence it, music usually is influential.
