Question
Sorry, I don't know which category I shpuld ask this question but this song called "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve there is this line that goes "but I'm here is my mold."

Can you tell me what that means?

Answer
The actual lyric is
"No change, I can change
I can change, I can change
But I'm here in my mold
I am here in my mold
But I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no"

Well the only true person that can answer that is the person who wrote this song but i'll give it a stab. I believe that this means he can't change. He is in his mold, or his environment. His "mold" is his environment and basically his life. So by saying he can't change his mold, it means he can't change his life or his environment. He's implying that no matter what, he can't change his environment which means he can't change himself.

Anyway this is just one interpretation. If you really want to know the answer I suggest writing to The Verve or see if there is an interview out their explaining this song. I hope it helps.
