Question
1)How does the music affect on teenager?
2)If the affect is negative how can we change it and if the affect of the music is positive how can we prove it.

Answer
Ok well i answered this question quite a lot of times. Remember, I am just one person and you are asking for my experience. I might be wrong or right.

1. Music affects teenagers on so many levels. It can change their mood, calm them, make them angry. It basically pulls on our feelings and can change the person's appearance. Take for example me, I use to listen to crap such as Britney Spears when I was in 6th grade. Throughout my middle and high school career i started listening to heavier stuff such as Linkin Park, Korn, Slipknot, Atreyu, My Chemical Romance and so forth. This changed my appearance to a "goth/punk". In a way it was sort of guiding me cause I was always a pessimist to begin with so it just guided me to be more comfortable with myself. So that my appearance matched my personality. It can also comfort a teenager and make them calmer. Like when they break up from a relationship, they listen to depressing music because it feels like someone understands them.

2. The affect is both negative and positive depending on how you look at it. Changing the appearance of a teenager could be considered brain wash but maybe the teenager was always this way and in fact, it freed them. I personally think that its a positive thing to change the appearance of a teenager because when we were young, we dressed as our parents saw fit. When music is introduced, you sort of break free from your parnets and you can show who you are. Breaking free from your parents is very important because you should make your own path in the world. How can we prove this? Well simply, would you want your parents controlling your whole life for the rest of your life? All teenagers have disobeyed their parents no matter who they are and soemtimes it turns out ok. The negative affect could be brain wash. Some adults believe that some types of music such as rap and rock can alter someone's mind. (I believe this is bullshit cause why would you listen to something you hate? But i'm being the devil's advocate here) How can we change this "brain wash"? Well you really can't cause there will always be music and EVERY type of music can "brain wash" someone. So the ultimate solution would be to take out all music. Soundtracks, country, orchestral, band, rock, rap, hip hop, blues, jazz, oldies and everything. Take it all out. But then comes the question, wouldn't that just make us all dangerous because there would be no outlet to let out all of our emotions? I mean there is no right answer here. All opinion. It's like asking a born blind person if he misses sight. He won't know what he's missing cause he never had it. We won't know the answer because we never did it.

Well there you go. I hope this triggers your own opinions. This is a difficult question. I suggest looking at some of the other responses i gave out because everyone seems to ask this. I hope i helped out.
