all coheed albums are actually a sci fi universe story... you can find websites that are devoted to explaining the story song by song, or you can get the comic books that are entwinned with the albums, example...look up armory wars..that is the comic book.

All of Coheed and Cambria's music follows a distinct storyline that transcends all of the albums.
The song "Wake Up" specifically revolves around the fictional character "The Writer" dwelling on a past relationship with a woman by the name of "Erica Court".
That's the barebones, the story is deeper than this, very much so.
