However, a kid in a band program who is developing music finds themselves in a group where they can feel accepted no matter what degree of musician you are. This can boost confidence and make that kid new friends and points of views. Also often times music is used to vent out certain emotions rather than allowing them to build up and it can help that child avoid making the mistake of resorting to violence or self injury in any way by simply rapping along. Music is a form of expression just like a painting. Images of violence can make violent actions, or they can help prevent violent actions.
