Question
why do parents always blame bad behavior on the music well couldn't it be the child?

Answer
This is a very interesting question. This is actually a good example of a psychology idea called "Nature vs. Nurture". Now this basically asks are we born with how we are going to act in life or is it contributed to us by experience. No one has been able to answer it because we can't ask a 1 year old how he is going to act in the next 17 years. So reverting back to your question, parents blame the music because it's easy. I mean come on, look at our music these days. Jay-Z being a rapper, he has all this "Bling bling" and he just doesn't have a positive image like a wallstreet business man. Also, the band Slipknot wears masks and act really creepy on stage. Personally, I am a big fan of slipknot but whatever. Our artists not only look bad but they sing about sex, being shot, drugs, suicide, people dying and what not. So parents assume that's our problem. (This is not my personal view). The bad behavior could totally be the child. THe child could have this aggressive view of the world given to them by the parents or he could just be naturally born with it. But yes, it is possible. My personal view though is that the music could cuase the child to be bad but the child could be bad in the first place and just happen to be attracted to "bad music". But that opinion is for a different time. So to sum it up, Parents blame music because they don't have a good image and yes, it could just be the child as well. Hope that solved your question. Please right back if I am not clear in any way.
