Question
I may be repeating myself, but i'm not sure. Do you think that poetry has the same affect on teenagers as music lyrics does?

Answer
Actually I don't think you are repeating yourself. The answer to your question is yes and no. It really depends on who you ask and what group you ask. Everyone loves music and i do believe it has a big affect on teenagers but some teenagers love poetry and that tends to affect them more. It's really who you ask but in my opinion, I think music lyrics has more of an affect. Why? Simply because in these days, not many teenagers read poetry but everyone listens to some form of music. Music is just more common and teenagers listen to a lot of music so it has a bigger impact. Poetry might not move the readers like it use to because some of it is very abstract and sort of hard to grasp the concept. Don't get me wrong, I think teenagers can grasp the concept of poetry but I just don't think they want to. They want something more upbeat, to dance to or to rock to. I could be massively mistaken in this matter but I believe that teenagers would be more affected by music lyrics. If I didn't fully answer your question, please write back.
