About Chanel Maldonado
Expertise Hi! My name is Chanel and I believe I would be able to answer a wide variety of questions concerning teen pregnancy. I had my first child at the age of 16 and was currently a junior in high school. I had two more children after that at the ages of 18 and 20. I can answer questions dealing with everything from the unsure and scary part of not knowing if your pregnant to the actual pregnancy on to birth. I am now only 21 and still young and believe i can relate to younger girls very well. I appeared on the John Walsh show "16 And Pregnant?..I should Have Waited?" Also.
Experience I am experienced in this area because i had two of my three children when i was a teenager. I finished high school and married the father of my second two children. I believe i am a very positive person when it comes to teen pregnancy because i believe no matter the situation there is a solution to bring out the positive.
Organizations I belong to MOPS "Mothers of Preschoolers"
Publications I have appeared on the John Walsh Show.
Education/Credentials I am a mom of 3, 2 of which i had as a teenager. I believe i can find the positive in any uncertain situation:)

Question hi this is tanya im 15 i found out five months ago i was pregnant i told me 18 year old boyfriend and he was happy since then i have gained 17 pounds i feel like he is getting less and less attracted to him he says its all in my head should i be worried and think he will cheat on me or should i out more trust on him i get scared he will leave me for someone else what should i do?
Answer Hi Tanya
All women experience this during pregnancy. Gaining wieght is not fun, but hey you are helping your child form and grow so it is very important. You have to believe him until he does something to make that trust go away. If you are too naggy he may just look elsewhere, so show him that you do trust him
