Experience
I was once a pregnant 15 year old, and it was traumatizing. I considered adoption, abortion, and parenthood and came to a conclusion. I was fortunate enough to have a supportive family, but not everyone is as lucky as I was. I have firsthand experience on what it feels like to discover an unplanned, teen pregnancy, as well as experience with coping.

I am the President of VOX:Voices for Planned Parenthood, which is a non-profit student organization focusing on sexual health and education, as well as reproductive rights and freedom.

I have written an article regarding my own teen pregnancy story which will be published on www.Teenwire.com on June 24th.
Education/Credentials
I am currently a senior at Northern Michigan University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology and Gender Studies. I am trained and certified in Sexual Health Peer Education and am currently teaching a college course focusing on STI prevention.

Question
I am 19 yrs old and ive been married for 6months now. my husband and i have been trying to conceive. i had a period on friday may 23 and it was completely gone by sunday may 25. on wednesday i woke up and used the bathroom and there were little drops of blood in my undies. they lasted the rest of the day and by thursday they were gone. my breasts have been insanely sensitive, and there is a raised dark blue vein on my right nipple and there always errect and dark red. i have also had mild cramping in my stomach but its mainly only at night. ive had headaches, i sleep in later and im always tired. my period was due June 24 but it is now june 26th and no period.i am normally pretty regular usually around 30 days. i have also been dry coughing and sneezing and ive had a lot more mucus build up and i only have allergies to pollen and its not pollen season. this is so weird! i have not taken a test because i am so worried it will come out negative!! does it sound like im pregnant to you? i just need someone to help me build up enough courage to take a test. please help!!

Since you've been having unprotected sex, your period is late, and your breasts are tender, it is certainly possible that you are pregnant. As for the spotting, some women experience spotting during implantation, when a fertilized egg implants in your uterus. That might be what you experienced in May.
Once your period is a week late, take a pregnancy test to find out for sure.
