About Lyndsay Mercier
Expertise
I can answer questions regarding pregnancy symptoms, possible ways of becoming pregnant, how to help avoid pregnancy, various options regarding your choices involving an unplanned pregnancy, etc. I can offer advice, answers, a kind word, or just listen.

Experience
I was once a pregnant 15 year old, and it was traumatizing. I considered adoption, abortion, and parenthood and came to a conclusion. I was fortunate enough to have a supportive family, but not everyone is as lucky as I was. I have firsthand experience on what it feels like to discover an unplanned, teen pregnancy, as well as experience with coping.

Organizations
I am the President of VOX:Voices for Planned Parenthood, which is a non-profit student organization focusing on sexual health and education, as well as reproductive rights and freedom.

Publications
I have written an article regarding my own teen pregnancy story which will be published on www.Teenwire.com on June 24th.

Education/Credentials
I am currently a senior at Northern Michigan University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology and Gender Studies. I am trained and certified in Sexual Health Peer Education and am currently teaching a college course focusing on STI prevention.

Question
I feel, dizzy, hungrey, sick, tired, weak
I took a test yesterday and it was positive and then today I went to planned
parent hood and I took a test and then they told me it was negitive so after
that I went to the store n bought 2 more testers and they were both positive.
Why would the planned parent hood be - and the home testers be + ?
And they assured me it was -     I dont know what to do. They gave me the
morning after pill n I took that today should I wait to see if I get my perido?
Or go back to planned parent hood?

Answer
Sam,

That is very strange that the test at Planned Parenthood came out negative when all of your other tests came back positive. Is it possible that you misread the instructions on the home pregnancy tests and they might have actually been negative?

In any case, if you really are pregnant, the morning after pill will not cause a miscarriage. If I were you, I would go back to Planned Parenthood, or your regular doctor, and have another test done. Be sure to tell them that you already had 3 positive test results from home pregnancy tests.

Good luck, and let me know if you need anything else answered whether you turn out to be pregnant or not,

Lyndsay
