WHAT COULD THIS POSSIBLY MEAN? I'M CONFUSED..?? COULD YOU HELP ME OUT A LITTLE.. ? THANKS

ANSWER: Dear Lesley,

Any time you hve sex, protected or not, there is a chance of pregnancy.  Obviously if you take precautions the chances are smaller.

Sometimes pre-ejaculate (also called precum) contains sperm, and can cause pregnancy, even if the guy does not ejaculate inside of you.

To better understand why having sex using the withdrawal method, as you have done, may cause pregnancy, watch this funny cartoon that explains How Pregnancy Happens:

The pregnancy test you took was inaccurate because it was too soon to take it.  The test tries to detect the pregnancy hormone HCG.  It takes about two weeks after sex for HCG to begin to be produced, if you are pregnant.  Two weeks from July 13 will be July 27.  That is the earliest that you can take the test.  If I were you, I would do that, take the test again, on the 27th, first thing in the morning, if you haven't gotten your period by then.

DON'T PANIC.  You are probably not pregnant.  You only have two more days and then you can find out for sure.

Write back if you need any other info.

Take care,

Deb

QUESTION: ok.. my period came on this morning.. should i still take another test?

Answer
Dear Lesley,

If it's actually your period, as in you are having to change the pad or tampon, then no, you don't need to take another test, because you aren't pregnant.  YAY!

Only if it was just little spots of blood would I suggest taking the test anyway.

Best wishes,

Deb
