Question
hi I'm brittany and I'm 17, My ex and i had unprotected sex on May 27th and i
ended my period may 25th. I completely skipped the month of june. I have
gotten a lot of discharge, about 3 weeks ago it was weird i had like a few
small brown spots on my underwear but when i wiped there was nothing
there. Recently.. i have like a butterfly feeling in my stomach. I'm feeling sick
but not throwing up.. i go to the bathroom a lot. I took a pregnancy test
about 2 weeks ago and it came up negative.. Is there a possibility that the
pregnancy test was wrong and i could be pregnant

Answer
Dear Brittany,

Yes, it is possible that it was too early for the test to have accurate results, and you could be pregnant, especially since you missed your June period completely.

It would be a good idea to get another test, and follow the directions on it exactly (i.e. take the test first thing in the morning).

If that test is negative, and you still do not have your period, the next step would be a doctor's visit where they could do a blood test to determine if you are pregnant or not.  If you're not pregnant, they can figure out why you missed your period, and why you feel sick.

Best wishes,

Deb
