Subject: almost 5 months late
Question im 20 years old. I have polycystic Ovarian syndrome that was diagnosed in 2006.I ve missed periods before but by only a couple of months. I went off my birth control back in april due to costs without insurance since i currently have no job. I had been having un protected sex for two yr with my boyfriend. I have been nauseas often and i get some cramping too. I have been very moody also. my last period was in the beginning of april around the 4th. Ive taken several at home pregnancy tests but they all come up negative. Im so worried cuz my boyfriend is starting to pull away from me and hanging with other girls now and ive told him whats going on and he dont seem to care or says that im not.
Answer Dear Sally,
Usually home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, but not always. In your situation I would go to your doctor's office for a blood test. If you have a Planned Parenthood in your area, they usually do this test for free.
I'm sorry about your boyfriend. If I were you I would stop having sex with him since he doesn't take the possibility of pregnancy seriously.
That is very immature on his part, and ignorant, since having unprotected sex almost always eventually leads to pregnancy.
Best wishes,
Deb
