Question Hey, me and my girl were messing around the other night, and we kinda decided we were gonna have sex. both virgins. I had a condom, and as began to put it on, think i got some precum on the outside of it. I continued like an idiot, but in the end only went to the head, so didnt actually break her hymen. Is it at all possible for her to be pregnant?
Answer Dear John,
In theory, some sperm from a previous ejaculation could have been leftover inside of your penis, if you hadn't urinated in between that ejaculation and the precum incident.
Leftover sperm can mix with precum, and cause pregnancy. However, from what you've described, the likelihood of pregnancy is very, very low.
A hymen doesn't have to be broken for a girl to get pregnant. Sperm can swim right in through the hymen and cause pregnancy.
Again, I doubt that has happened on your case.
Don't let your girlfriend believe she has pregnancy symptoms, either, unless she actually misses a period. Missing a period is the first pregnancy symptom a woman usually gets.
You might want to use spermicide with the condoms. It is an extra layer of protection.
It's also a good idea to keep Plan B Emergency Contraception on hand, in case the condom breaks or falls off inside of your girlfriend. You have to be over 18 to buy it, or have someone over 18 buy it for you. You get this at a pharmacy. You do not need a prescription.
Also, if she ever misses her period, you can buy a home pregnancy test at any drugstore.
