Subject: withdrawal method
Question Hi,
How reliable is the withdrawal/pull out method?
Answer Dear Gemma,
It is so unreliable that many people refuse to even call it a "method" of birth control. The most recent statistics I've seen give it a 27% failure rate. That is enormous!
Most of the pregnancies caused by this method are due to the man ejaculating in the woman by accident. A small percentage are caused by
sperm mixed in with precum.
Best wishes,
Deb
