QUESTION: I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 24 he wants to get me pregnant so we been trying for a wile now.i don't know if I'm pregnant now. like for the past 3 weeks i feel like I'm about the get my period.i get bloated my head hurts so bad sometimes my breast hurt i cant even lay on my stomach it feels so uncomfortable i get cramps like if i have my period i get pain in my lower back. and 1 day i feel fine and the next day i feel so crappy do. U think these are signs of pregnancy?
ANSWER: Dear Geraldine,
Have you missed a period yet? If not, then those symptoms you are having are probably due to something else. Wait until you miss a period, or at least until it is late, and then take a home pregnancy test.
On another note, why would your boyfriend want to get you pregnant before he marries you?

Dear Geraldine,
If you haven't missed you period yet, then enough time has not passed for an embryo to have fully implanted in your uterus. Pregnancy symptoms begin after implantation.
There are many things that could cause those symptoms. A virus, a hormonal imbalance, a medication side effect, an infection, or you could have gotten pregnant last month and what you thought was your last period could have been implantation bleeding. This is not very common, however.
Your period must be due soon, isn't it? Buy a home pregnancy test and take it on the first morning that your period is due. These results are usually pretty accurate.
About marriage, if he wants to marry you, why not get married then? It would be much better for your future child to have a married mother and father then to be born to a single, unwed, teen aged mother.
