Subject: pre-ejaculate
Question I have read previously that pre-ejaculate contains no sperm, yet have still heard stories of the possibility of pregnancy from pre-ejaculate. I have had intercourse with my partner without a condom, but have not ejaculated. She has shown concerns about the possibility of becoming pregnant. If there is no sperm in pre-ejaculate, then is there really a reason for her to worry? If so, why?
Answer Dear Cory,
There would only be reason to worry if, before you had sex, you had ejaculated and didn't urinate between that ejaculation and sex with your girlfriend. Leftover sperm in the penis can mix with pre-ejaculate and cause pregnancy. Urinating between ejaculating and sex washes those sperm away.
Take care,
Deb
