Question hi, my girlfriend and i activly engage in sex, but it has been about a week since the last time. today she said she is freaking out brcause she took her last pill like 4 days ago(is taking i guess the week of sugar pills?) and she has not started yet, she swears she is pretty regular. she is 17, and as far as i can tell showing no sign of pregnancy except for being a couple days late, she has a lot going on however with school and work, and i think this could be a cause, she is trying to get a lot done at once. she even went to the gynecologist on monday, i think they probobly would have seen something...
Answer Dear Mike,
She can take a pregnancy test so she can put her mind at ease. Wait one more week so two weeks will have passed since the last time you had sex before she takes the test. If she gets her period in the meantime, great. If not, at least the test will let you both know what is going on.
Make sure she takes the test first thing in the morning.
Take care,
Deb
