Teen Pregnancy - Chances of being pregnant?

Expert: Deborah - 10/25/2009

Question
I had sex with my boyfriend on October 14th 2009, and my last period was on September 15th 2009. Unprotected sex, but he didn't ejaculate. But I do understand that there IS such as thing as "pre ejaculation". My period usually comes a little over a month every time (for example, since my period came on September 15th, it should have come probably around October 17th - 19th). I'm 16 years old.

I'm just wondering what my chances are of being pregnant are with those circumstances. I don't know if they chance is high, or low, or if I'm just being paranoid.
Help me?

Answer
Dear Carrie,

The chances are very low that you would get pregnant.  Most women get pregnant from the pull out method because the guy didn't actually pull out in time, even though he thinks he did.

You should take a home pregnancy test if your period is late.

Best wishes,

Deb
