Question
ok so i have been freaking out about this for about a week. i was on the pill during the spring because my period was irregular. so i stopped taking it during the summer to see if it helped. it did for awhile and i got back on it after my period in sep. that period stopped on that sat. night and i started again the pill on sunday. that saturday i slept with someone and we didnt use a condom but we didnt do it that long so he pulled out because we both dont want a baby right now.

So he didnt cum in me at all but my friend told me that a guy has sperm on it before you do it while you do it and when they cum. so i was wondering if you didnt use protection and are on the pill and are in my situation what is the chance that you would be pregnant? and i havent had any of the symtoms at all.
but i've heard that you dont need to have symptoms to be pregnant.
Please help! thank you very much!!

Answer
Dear Carly,

Being on the pill is protection.  Why would you think wouldn't work?  It's almost 99% effective.

Sperm can only mix in with pre-ejaculate if a man hasn't urinated in between either masturbation and sex, or two episodes of sex.  Urinating washes any extra sperm away.

I'm pretty sure you are not pregnant.

Best wishes,

Deb
