Teen Pregnancy - 2 weeks late, period like cramps, no period
Expert: Deborah - 11/6/2009
Question Hi, I'm 17 years old and I am very confused. Me and my boyfriend had sex and we didn't use a condom, however he pulled out. I should've gotten my period 2 weeks ago, yet nothing. I had cramps that felt like normal period cramps, but there was no actual period. I took an at home test about a week ago and it was negative. I know these aren't 100% acurate and I am just really confused as to what's going on. Please help me!
Answer Dear Liz,
Sometimes a boy says he pulled out and really did not. This doesn't mean he is lying, he may have thought he pulled out in time. I am not sure if this happened in your case.
I would take another test. Be sure to take it first thing in the morning. If this is also negative and you still don't have your period, you should see a doctor.
Those tests are usually pretty accurate.
Best wishes,
Deb
