Question I am 15 about to be 16 and i really want a baby. but im scared that if i get pregnant that my dad will kick me out. the reason i want a kid is because i want to have one before college so that when im in college i will have someone to take care of the baby. i dont want to wait untell im in college because it will interfere with my classes. and i dont want to wait tell im out of college because im going to be in college for about 8-10 years. my boyfriend is ready and said he will help me take care of it but i dont know how to convieve a baby i just started having sex. can you please give me some advice.
Answer Dear Mystical Dawn,
It is absolutely outrageous to try to have a baby right now. You cannot even financially support yourself, how would you support a baby? What if the boyfriend changes his mind, which about 80 to 90% of them do?
Don't even think about doing this. Wait until you are out of college and get married. Anything short of that is extremely selfish to the baby. What baby doesn't want it's own mother taking care of it for the first 8 to 10 years anyway?
Think about this carefully. If your dad would kick you out, why would he pay for college if you get pregnant?
I can answer questions about pregnancy symptoms, contraception, abortion, adoption, and
teen parenthood. Specifically, I can give up to date, accurate medical information, latest
studies as well as statistics pertaining to health issues surrounding pregnancy, and factors
to be considered before deciding to become a teen parent.
