Question I just found out I am pregnant. I have not been on birth control in the last 6 months and have had irregular periods since I went off of the pill. Anyway, my serious boyfriend and I had sex on January 30th, 31st, Feb. 1st and 2nd. We did not use any sort of protection. Then on the third I did something I regret so much! I sort of hooked up with an old boyfriend. We did not sleep together but he did finger me. I don't think there was any sperm on his fingers but I guess it could be a possibility. So, now that I am preggers I am happy, I love my boyfriend very much, I just made a mistake and I really really regret it. I am wondering what the chances are that the father of my child is the ex boyfriend. Thank you so much for your help!
Answer Dear Becky,
Only you and the ex-boyfriend know if there was sperm on his fingers or not. You should ask him directly. Until you have this answer, there is no way of knowing for sure what the possibilities are.
It sounds like you have been trying to get pregnant, so that makes this transgression with the ex-boyfriend even more puzzling. Maybe the time isn't right for you to become a parent right now. Just a thought.
The best I can tell you is to give the child a DNA test after it is born.
