Question I'm Kate and I'm 18 years old. I recently found out that I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I plan on telling my mother about the pregnancy, I just don't know when. Realisticly I was wondering how long you can get away with hiding your pregnancy. On average around what week do women start to "show"? I've heard that it depends on your body type and various other aspects. If so, I'm 5'4" and 115 pounds so I'm on the small side. Will that cause me to show earlier? I just would like to know because I'm still in high school, and I'd prefer to know when people will be able to notice I'm pregnant that way I can try to avoid that by wearing more flowly shirts or something. Please reply.
Answer Hi Kate,
Well congratulations on your baby! I just gave birth to my second child, a son 6 days ago!
I can't tell you even with your mesurmetns. It completely depends on the person.
For my first pregnancy I started showing at 4 months and was massive at the end of my pregnancy. However with my second one I didn't show until around 16 weeks, then I contunusly grew to 25 weeks then stoped growing.
You just have to wait and see.
Try and stay away from bold colours as it makes it more obvious. Try and stick to black colours. Also wear long loose shirts and low trousers. It doesn't appear to obvious either. It's not an attractive look I know ! And let your mum see you eating alot of food so she thinks your just puting on weight. Thats what I did until I was ready to tell my parents and it worked wonders!
