Teen Pregnancy - precum pregnancy

Expert: Deborah - 5/9/2009

Question
hi, i've been reading a lot of posts on the internet on pre-cum and getting pregnant from it.
i'm worried and would like to know whether it's possible that i am pregnant. about 3 weeks ago my boyfriend and i were fooling around in the bathroom and his fingers touched my vagina. i think there was precum on his fingers. i used a calculator to calculate my ovulation day and it was the day i played around with my boyf. im waiting for my period now (my cycle's 21 days) im really worried and scared. but the 3 home pregnancy tests i took said im negative. please help!

Answer
Dear Takarai,

It is almost impossible to get pregnant from precum on fingers.  I wouldn't worry about it.  Sperm really needs to be ejaculated in large quantities to make pregnancy likely.

Most of the time when you hear about someone getting pregnant from precum, what actually happened was the guy didn't pull out in time. The guy ejaculates into the girl and doesn't tell her.

Don't be scared.

Take care,

Deb
