Teen Pregnancy - Could I be Pregnant

Expert: Deborah - 9/30/2009

Question
Hi doctor my question is if i could be pregnant. My boyfriend and I had protected sex the day before my period started (8/21). The condom broke but he was able to get out and ejaculate outside but we are not sure if anything stayed inside. After that day I had my period (this happened last month in August). Now this month I got my period when it was expected no delays or anything but I am still scared. I havent had any symptoms im just really scared that I could be pregnant. What do you think?

Answer
Dear Sandra,

Hi!  First of all, I am not a doctor.  Secondly, if you had your period and have not had sex since, you are not pregnant.  There is absolutely nothing to worry about.  If you still feel scared, you can buy a home pregnancy test at any drugstore and take it.

Best wishes,

Deb
