Don`t think I would be the first person to ask, yet I am a person to ask or talk about problems. I never had a baby and I am against teens having babies, yet I do think if you have a problem, talk about it.

Teen Pregnancy - Drop out or Try to finish High School...?

Expert: Dan - 5/7/2005

Question
Hey Dan, It's me Jesyka again. I've been thinking about dropping out of High School just because of the fact I don't know weather or not I'm going to be able to handle being a parent and a student. What do you think I should do? And by the way I'm a Jr. and I'm not due until after this school year is over with (Due July 10th).

Answer
Good question. If you feel you cannot handle school, have you ever thought about Distance learning? American School {DETC.org has a list of them} is a very good school and highly recommended by me. All you have to do is  probably finish some of the courses they require{I would call them and ask them how many more credits you need and of what courses}. It is a fact people who pass high school usually makes more money than those who don't. Good luck and ask follow ups

You said your a junior and for this that means you probably need only 4 more credits by them. It should only take a couple of months, yet it depends on how hard you work. Please call them and check into this. I am not an expert on distance learning.
