Experience I became a teen mother when I was 15, I am now 25 and my daughter is 9. I also graduated with an associates degree in social work and am currently six months away from becoming a registered nurse.
Question Hi, Im 15 and Im pregnant. Right now Im really scared but then again Im happy. My boyfriend has stuck by my side, but i still have not told my parents. I want to stay in school, and go to college to get a degree in psychology but I dont know if I can. Plus I dont know how to tell my parents. Can you please help me out? I read that you were 15 too, so I figured you should know what Im going trough. Also I heard that if you are under 16 and pregnant your parents can make you get an abortion, is this true?
Thank you.
Answer Hi Jessica,
There is no easy way to tell your parents that you're pregnant. Just do it, that way you can start getting prenatal care. As far as the laws on abortion, I'm not sure. It may even vary from State to State. If you want to continue your education there should be no problem with that. Just know that you'll have to work extra hard.
