Question
Hi, I am a nurse and have concerns about my 14 y/o son, i know the issue isn't drugs or alcohol.  He seems to be angry all the time, HELP!  A little background, he is highly intelligent and knows his father, my husband, adopted him, but he choose to be adopted.

Answer
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me. As I am not a psychologist I will have to recommend talking to your doctor, and a in person psychologist. In the mean time I can recommend James Windell parenting teen expert on this site in our parenting teen area.

If you want me to offer advice on how to handle your son, please tell me more about him. It's possible it's normal rebelling behavior of the teen. It's also possible it could be bipolar disorder or another disorder. Based on what you mentioned I cannot state what it is.

Please ask follow ups

Thanks for using Allexperts

If you want to post follow ups include:
How many friends he has?
Grades in school
If he ever had an IQ test and score on this
When it started
Do you think it's bipolar?
Hobbies?
Favorite actor or actress?
Favorite TV/movie?

Again I can't list disorders that he has because I'm not a psychologist and even if I was he's not my patient, yet I can offer advice on how to handle this.
