Subject: parents
Question Ok, I have this problem with my parents. It may sound ridiculous to you but it's really taking a toll. My parents, especially my mom, is so obsessed about me getting a haircut. I myself never liked haircuts and she claims that my hair is way too long, when it really is not. I mean not even long enough to cover my ears. It looks just like a clean cut and yet my mom is tormenting me on getting a haircut. I keep telling her that there are many guys my age who have way longer hair than me and she still wouldn't agree with me. Another justification I used for not getting a haircut is that, she can't have control over my body like that b/c I mean I don't tell her to get a haircut if I don't like her hair. So anyway, what do you suggest I do?
Answer This is a typical fight between teens and their parents. But first tip, never tell your mom you don't like her hair. Not a good idea at all. Keep that with you and you will have a happy marriage later on. How long is your hair anyway? It doesn't sound like it is too bad but she could just have her own opinions about how your hair should look. Tell her you like what you look like but don't do it so she gets mad. Maybe you could get your dad on your side to 'corner' her. Don't let your hair be very long. It's kind of annoying, in my opinion but I think that you both need to talk about it. It's not a ridiculous problem. This happens to everyone. But you can have your hair how you want it. Just talk to her about it.
