Subject: Abuse?

Question
My father use to abuse me.
He had stopped for a few years after one of my friends mom's called the cops.
The other day he got mad about something... you get the rest of that...

what should I do?

Answer
Hi Emily,

Your father have no right to abuse you for any reason. It is illegal and against the law.

If he abuse you, you need to stay away from him and report to police or child protection services if your under age of 18.  It is not worth it to go through if no one helps you.  Early intervention is best protection.  Do thank mom's friend for "intervention" on your behalf.

I truly glad one of her friends called the cops.  If he stopped abusing you, that is good but remember it not always the case.  Keep eye on him.

You have a wonderful day.

Doc Jerry
