Answer
Hi Brittnie,

I do not think so, 50 state laws have some type of standard uniform law states that parents are legally responsible for children to attend high school regardless age until you graduate high school or age 21.

You also can move out with parental permission when your 17.  It applies only if you have a job and place to live.  Otherwise, you are stuck.

Be careful, sometimes teenagers choose to move out regardless what law says or parents says so, parents can report you as runaway with police if they choose to. Sometimes parents do nothing.  50/50 risk.

If you do not attend school, school will charge your parents for "truancy" because they are legally responsible for you.

I suggest you talk with a social worker regard your concerns, maybe they will be able to help you out to sort out issues you may be having at home.

Good luck and you have a wonderful day.

Doc Jerry
