Question
Well,i am 14 and im going to be a freshman this year and i have a scare about high school like will i make friends.Sometimes i am very shy and want to go up to the boy and speak to him but i freeze.I think about what am i going to say to the guy to actually make him speak to mewithout having to be like most girls and seem like showoffs trying to get attention.Waht should i say to a boy that im interested in talking to but scared? ADVICE???!!!

Answer
Don't worry about high school. I had the same worry. I was never really close to people in my middle school so high school was going to be kind of scary. But don't worry about it. If anything, go with the people who feel the same way as you. You'll be fine.

See if you have a class with the guy. If not, that's fine. If you do, that makes it easier. Anyway, just see him in the hall or around town and say hi. Ask him how he is and just talk for a little bit. Make sure when he looks bored, you walk away. Don't force a conversation to happen. Just say hi and maybe a few more things and then leave it. Then after a while, you can really get to know him. Meet him at his locker and ask him a math problem or something. Go slow until he gets used to having you there. Then you can go out with a bunch of friends with him there and eventually work your way down to just you two together. I hope this makes sense to you. I hope it helps.
