Question QUESTION: I am 17, and I live in Texas. Can I legal move out, even though my mom doesn't want me to?
ANSWER: Hello,
I cannot offer legal advice as I am not a lawyer. I also don't live in your state and don't know your state laws. I am going to recommend to speak to a lawyer as web based legal advice is NOT solid(websites listed are not mine and do not replace a lawyer). Also the websites I will recommend to you are third party sites and laws do change. So speak to a lawyer in your state. Here is one third party site. Note, laws do change and this does not replace a lawyer. I don't know if this advice on that site is solid. Sorry:
Again as always speak to a lawyer in your area. I do want to ask you why you want to move out at age 17.

QUESTION: I am graduating High School early and I want to go to a college out of state, but my mom says she doesn't want me to until I am 18. I don't want to wait that long.
Answer Hi,
From someone who has went to college, I can tell you that you shouldn't rush into college. This was probably one of my biggest mistakes. However, is a year break needed for all? NO. Sometimes this is a bad idea a year break and this is why I worried about waiting. I did not finish my college studies and I left college before due to my errors. I hope to go back into college, yet not right now.
On a side note if you override your mother's power, sometimes this would be called disrespect and could hurt your family relationship.

P.S. Best of luck in college(when you go). Mind if I ask what you want your major to be? Mine was education
AGAIN please note I am not sure of the exact legal age for your area and the above third party websites do not replace any lawyers. Laws do change. And websites are not always solid with legal advice
