Question Hi I have a two daughters and two sons, starting fronm the eldest Girl 17, Girl 16, Boy 9, Boy 8. Todays question is about the youngst girl. She is currently displaying behaviours that appear selfish, steals and lies about the places she goes. I am divorced and have remarried (the first three children are fom my first marrage)my kids all live with me and there step mum and we all continue the have a good relationship with there mum (my ex-wife) but 16 year old daughter continues to lie to us all - I am asking if there is any techniques you know to stop her from lying as it appears to be constant and I am not sure she is able to stop herself......
Answer Hi,
Paul expert James Windell(author) our Parenting Teen expert can probably help you here. However, I won't refuse to try to help you. I do need to know when this started and if they met new friends at this time. Stress? Drugs(need to ask, sorry)? Anything like this? New school? Moved? Bullied? It's normal for teens to rebel, yet we have to help them make the right choices.
