Subject: 3 way call tied up line 1 and 2

Question
Hi, I was practicing hosting a 3 way call, dialed out on line 1 to my own number, picked up line 2 and then hung up instead of pressing rls. Now both line 1 and 2 are still conferencing with each other even though no one is on the line.  How to fix???  norstar phone, the norstar people said to unplug but nothing happened.

Answer
Jen,
Click on LINE ONE with the handset off, NOW UNPLUG that phone and then unplug ANY other phone or device you have in other jacks. WAIT at least 1 minute, then with handset back on your phone, plug it, and any other phone or device you unplugged, back in. Your lines SHOULD be clear now.  If not, contact your local telephone company's repair service.   Spencer
